Sustainable, one-of-a-kind, and genuinely durable. Everything you need to know before choosing recycled glass for your kitchen, bath, or vanity project.
Recycled glass countertops are made from crushed post-consumer and post-industrial glass — often 85% or more of the slab by volume — embedded by hand into a cement or resin binder. Because each piece of glass is placed individually, no two slabs are ever alike, and the color palette can range from soft sea-glass tones to bold, saturated jewel colors depending on the glass sources used.

The glass content itself is extremely hard and completely stain-proof, comparable to granite in scratch resistance. The more porous element is the binder matrix between the glass pieces — acidic spills like citrus, wine, or vinegar can etch that matrix if left too long, similar to how marble reacts, so quick cleanup matters more than with pure quartz or granite.
